Baby Shower Banners

2 of my dear friends had baby showers a weekend apart in TX (I moved to CA) and I asked what I could do to help with the showers and the hostesses suggested I make something crafty so I thought some banners that could be used at the shower and the big welcome home once the babies arrived would be great. Baby Erika was a princess this moment we knew she was a she and Baby Max's room is done in a sweet little safari theme...by the way his mommy is WAY craftier than I am!!

I also decided to use this as my entry for my Made by Momo challenge entry.

Christmas gifts for crafting

I got several craft related things for Chrsistmas this year including a new lens to take pictures from scrapping and to document the projects to share with all of you!

My husband got me some shelves and more importantly since I am 5 months pregnant put up my shelves in my craft closet/room. I needed some shelves really bad!
We got the ribbon holders at World Market when the one in out area went out of business and was selling their fixtures. They are perfect for the ribbon spools.

I got a bunch of new glitter glue and some paper but I already put it my storage area before I took the picture.
I also got 3 new carts! I am so excited for the crafts to come!

Creative Memories at MOPS

Before I discovered the world of Cricut I was into Creative Memories. The week before Christmas a CM consultant came to our MOPS meeting and shared some card making ideas and CM materials so that we could each make our own to take home...for free! It was a lot of fun to make and to show off some of my own skills to people that are not normally crafters with me!

This one above is my favorite!

I forgot I had these when I sent/gave out cards this Christmas so I am a few cards ahead for next year! Yay

Momo's Challenge me Tuesday

This is a layout I made for Made by Momo's Tuesday Challenge.

Fantabulous: Snow Delight Challenge

I have recently discovered this blog and LOVE it. I love the daily organization...anyway I thought I would give one of their challenges a try.

The requirements were a Cricut cut and snow theme.

I live in the desert and we never get snow or rain and this past December we got both! Duh...I had to scrap about it. The journaling is about the snow but it is hard to see in the picture. I added the green cactus with some snow using Color Box ink, for some extra color. I cut the cacti from Old West at 3" and 4".
Everything else I found in my stash including the little embellishments that someone made for me a while ago...sorry I can't remember who!
The ribbon is American Crafts. And the frame and tag were pre cut in a kit that I didn't use.
